TMAT appoints new board following Blachford Acoustics Group purchase

TMAT – the global manufacturer of acoustic components for industrial and agricultural vehicles – has appointed a new board following its purchase by Blachford Acoustics Group.

Jason Lippitt, who has remained as Managing Director following the purchase, is joined on the board by Financial Director Laura Bawden and Sales Director Greg Smith.

Laura Bawden joined TMAT in 2006 and, in being promoted to the position and the board, has fulfilled a long-term ambition to become TMAT’s Financial Director. Laura was awarded CIMA fellowship in 2014 (FCMA) and, having demonstrated a real feel for the business and an ability to make key decisions, will lead on strategic direction, management and performance of the Finance, IT and HR functions at TMAT.

Greg Smith joined TMAT in 2011 and combines a diverse understanding of materials and manufacturing processes with extensive B2B sales experience. Having been promoted to Sales Director and the board, Greg is now responsible for managing the Sales and Marketing functions of the business. Greg’s focus will be on building a cohesive and talented commercial team with the skills and attitude to double TMAT’s revenue.

Blachford Acoustics Group (www.blachford.com) purchased TMAT in December 2014. In doing so, it became the world’s only complete interiors/acoustic Industrial Vehicles supplier.

TMAT continues to manufacture its products and solutions at its Chesterfield HQ but, critically, will now have access to Blachford Acoustics Group’s unrivalled R&D laboratory and testing facilities.
