Weidmüller industrial connectivity solutions help increase railway revenues

Weidmuller staff will be on hand on stand K80 at Railtex 2015 to show and discuss solutions on offer for the electrical connection, transmission and conditioning of power, signals and data for rail infrastructure and trackside applications, signalling and rolling stock. The company’s terminals, enclosures, surge protection, relays, Industrial Ethernet, heavy duty connectors, PCB components and tools will all be on display.

On show will be its market leading terminal ranges including the SAK series which carry out the most diverse functions under adverse conditions, its W Series screw clamp terminal blocks, including the WTL 6SL Spring Loaded Terminals which have Network Rail approval for use in trackside cabinets, its Z series tension clamp terminals and ranges of tools and markers

The Weidmüller Klippon® TB MH (Multi-Hinge) enclosures offer excellent performance characteristics and meet the strict requirements of industrial and hazardous areas. Made of electro-polished stainless-steel type 1.4404/316L, optionally with an anti-reflective finish, or painted sheet steel (RAL 7032), the Klippon TB MH Series is available in twelve sizes and three standard depths ranging from 220 x 150mm (HxWxD) through to 980 x 740 x 200mm. The Klippon TB MH is protected to IP 66/67. Designed to -60 to +135°C temperature ranges, the enclosures come standard with a silicone seal for use under extreme temperatures.

The customer-specific solutions service includes comprehensive consultation, engineering and installation for modified enclosures. They can be modified during the production process to meet your demands and completed with various accessory components. There is a wide range of options available such as predrilled holes and cut-outs, a choice of surfaces and materials, engraving and labelling, locking options and alternative sizes, holders for documents and rating levels, door retainers, rain shields and many more accessories which can be installed as you wish.

Weidmüller offers a wide range of electronic solutions including surge protection devices which offer protection of signalling, telecoms and power circuits to ensure the continual availability of critical services. Also available are Industrial Ethernet components from un-managed and managed switches to Power-over-Ethernet switches, media converters, Industrial Wireless LAN units and Routers. Complimenting the range are IP67 switches for use outside the cabinet utilising M12 connection technology. The active portfolio is complimented by a wide range of passive components from field- installable RJ45 connectors, DIN rail outlets, to IP65 rated Panel outlets.
